Stronsay pupils meet Zoe

Zoe was very happy to meet pupils in Stronsay last month, as part of a visit aimed at spreading the word about her work and increasing drugs awareness.

She joined her handler, Kevin Moar, and PC Emma Price from Police Scotland on a trip to the island on 28th September.

Kevin said: “We conducted a visit to the Stronsay Junior High School to let the pupils and staff meet Zoe as well as give an insight to the aims of the charity and what and where we do it. We also delivered drugs awareness education relevant to the age groups of each class.”

While on island, educational awareness presentations were given to nursery, lower primary, upper primary, S1-2, and S3-4 classes of pupils.

After the visit Zoe enjoyed a paddle and run about St Catherine’s Bay Beach for an hour before she and the team caught the boat back to Kirkwall.
